SUNY Oneonta

Seventeen SUNY Oneonta students participated in the 2017 National Model United Nations Conference in New York City from March 19-23. The Oneonta delegation represented South Africa.

Nine SUNY Oneonta students will present papers at the college's eighth annual New Critics: Undergraduate Literature and Composition Conference on Saturday, April 8. More than 20 students from 10 colleges and universities throughout the East Coast will present their scholarly work at the conference, which will feature a keynote address by Ben Saunders of the University of Oregon titled, "Wonder Woman in Bondage."

Senior Katie O'Gorman was selected as the SUNY Oneonta Athlete of the Week.

Senior Katie Flannery was selected as the Offensive Player of the Week in the SUNYAC.

Sophomore Andrew Helfman was selected as the Defensive Player of the Week in the SUNYAC.

Eleven SUNY Oneonta students spent their spring break volunteering with Habitat for Humanity in Vero Beach, Fla.

Senior Cara Adams was selected as a WBCA Honorable Mention All-American.

Six SUNY Oneonta wrestlers were named to the ECWC All-Academic Team.

SUNY Oneonta's Hooked On Tonics a cappella group competed in an International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella (ICCA) Northeast Quarterfinal on Feb. 25 at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. The 14-member ensemble performed a set that included "All Time Low" by John Bellion, "I Want it That Way" by the Backstreet Boys and a Michael Jackson medley. "All Time Low" and "I Want it That Way" featured original arrangements by group member Sydney Kurnit, who is a sophomore at SUNY Oneonta.

Junior James Bethel and freshman Kevin Knox were named as NWCA Scholar All-Americans.

10 field hockey players have earned academic honors from the NFHCA.
