Twenty-nine SUNY Oneonta students were inducted into SUNY Oneonta's chapter of Alpha Epsilon Delta, the National Health Preprofessional Honor Society, this semester.

SUNY Oneonta inducted 31 students into its chapter of Psi Chi, the international honor society in psychology, during a ceremony held on May 1, 2016

SUNY Oneonta inducted 16 students into its Edward K. Griesmer chapter of National Residence Hall Honorary, a branch of the National Association of Colleges and University Residence Halls, on April 10.

A total of 18 new members were inducted into the SUNY Oneonta Alpha-Kappa-Iota chapter of Phi Alpha Theta, the national history honor society, during a ceremony held in the Le Cafe, Morris Conference Center on April 29, 2016.

Thirteen students from SUNY Oneonta School of Economics and Business were inducted into the college's Beta Gamma Sigma honor society chapter during a ceremony on April 22.

Two SUNY Oneonta students were recognized for outstanding academic achievement during the college's Chi Alpha Epsilon national honor society induction ceremony on Feb. 17.

Twenty-one students were inducted into SUNY Oneonta's Beta Eta Chapter of the Chi Alpha Epsilon national honor society on Feb. 17. Chi Alpha Epsilon was formed in 1989 to recognize the academic achievements of students admitted to colleges and universities through nontraditional criteria. Beta Eta Chapter members are full-time Educational Opportunity Program and College Assistance Migrant Program students who have held a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher for at least two consecutive semesters.

SUNY Oneonta inducted 47 students into its chapter of Omicron Delta Kappa, a national leadership honor society, in December 2015. Invitation to apply for membership is based on recommendation, junior or senior standing, and an overall grade-point average of 3.0 or better.

A total of 31 students were inducted into the SUNY Oneonta Alpha-Kappa-Iota chapter of Phi Alpha Theta, the national history honor society, during a ceremony on May 1.

The SUNY Oneonta Circle of Omicron Delta Kappa, the National Leadership Honor Society, inducted 43 new student members and two new faculty members during a ceremony on May 3.

SUNY Oneonta inducted 23 students into its Edward K. Griesmer chapter of National Residence Hall Honorary, a branch of the National Association of Colleges and University Residence Halls, on April 12.

Nineteen SUNY Oneonta students were inducted into the college's Beta Gamma Sigma honor society chapter during a ceremony on April 24. Only the best business students in the world, and the professionals who earn the distinction of "the Best in Business" during their academic careers, can claim this international honor. Students ranking in the top 10 percent of the baccalaureate and top 20 percent of graduate programs at schools accredited by AACSB International – The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business are eligible for lifetime membership in this international honor society. Beta Gamma Sigma has installed collegiate chapters and inducted students on six continents.

The following people recently were initiated into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation's oldest and most selective collegiate honor society for all academic disciplines.

Nayely Feria-Ortiz was recognized for outstanding academic achievement as a member of the Chi Alpha Epsilon national honor society.
