Witman Hernandez competes for SUNY Oneonta men's soccer team

Witman Hernandez , a Freshman from Huntington , NY played for the SUNY Oneonta men's soccer team this fall.

The Red Dragons finished the season with an overall record of 16-7-1 while going 6-2-1 in the SUNYAC. The team played in the SUNYAC Championship game and received an at-large berth to the NCAA tournament. In the NCAA tournament Oneonta advanced to its third straight sweet sixteen.

Witman played and started in 23 games this season for the Red Dragons. He was the team's highest scorer this season with 12 goals, two of which were game winning, and added five assists for a total of 29 points. Witman was selected as the SUNYAC Rookie of the Year while also earning First Team All-Conference honors. He was also named to the SUNYAC All-Tournament Team while being an NSCAA Second Team All-East Region selection.

SUNY Oneonta supports 21 varsity teams and is a member of the SUNYAC Conference while competing at the NCAA Division III level. The state-of-art athletics facilities include a field house and two field turf fields.
