Welcome to the Oneonta family, Connor!

2015 Aug 19

This fall, SUNY Oneonta will welcome approximately 1,100 freshmen and 600 new transfer students. Congratulations on being one of them!

Admission to Oneonta is competitive, and we're proud to welcome a smart, talented, engaged group of students hailing from across New York, as well as from 16 states and countries.

The fall semester starts Aug. 31, but you'll officially join the Oneonta family when you walk through the historic Old Main pillars during the traditional Pass through the Pillars ceremony on the campus quad, the night before classes begin. When you graduate from SUNY Oneonta, you'll pass through those same pillars in the opposite direction, heading away from the place that will soon become your home away from home, and into a future that you've just begun to imagine.

Between now and then, you'll do many fun and noteworthy things--like joining a club, competing on an athletics team, making the dean's list, performing community service, studying abroad, presenting your own research, starring in a play, landing an internship, or winning an award.

Starting right now, your Merit page will feature all the great things you do at SUNY Oneonta. Each time the college publishes an achievement about you, you'll receive an email with a link to view it on your Merit page. You can share your achievements on Facebook and Twitter, and customize your Merit page with photos, a bio, activities and work experience.
