Toni Koval of Brooklyn Studying Abroad this Semester

2014 Sep 30

Toni Koval of Brooklyn, NY, is one of 34 SUNY Oneonta students studying abroad this semester. Koval, a sophmore majoring in Fashion and Textiles, is studying at NUI-Galway in Ireland on a semester program through SUNY Albany.

SUNY Oneonta offers exchange programs in Ghana, Ecuador, Finland, Sweden, Germany, Italy, Greece, the Netherlands, Japan, South Korea and Taiwan through the Office of International Education, plus a variety of short-term, faculty-led programs throughout the year. Oneonta students also have access to more than 600 study abroad and exchange programs through the SUNY network.

To increase access to study abroad opportunities, SUNY Oneonta has established three special scholarships to support students who might otherwise not have the financial means to study abroad. Made possible through gifts from alumni, faculty, staff and community members, the College at Oneonta Foundation 30th Anniversary Scholarship, the Bill and Khuki Woolever Scholarship and the Dr. Warren and Mrs. Rita Wellman Scholarship are offered each year to qualifying students.

Scholarships and Global Connectedness are also two of four campaign priorities for Possibilities Full of Promise, the 125th Anniversary Campaign for SUNY Oneonta.
