Sharon Wohl earns academic honors for the SUNY Oneonta field hockey team

The National Field Hockey Coaches Association has announced its 2013 Division III National Academic Team and Individual Awards. The SUNY Oneonta field hockey team was honored along with eight individuals for their performance in the classroom.

Sharon Wohl, a Freshman Childhood and Family Studies major from East Northport, NY was one of the eight student athletes to be recognized on the National Academic Squad.

The team honor for the Red Dragons was its eighth consecutive year that they were recognized for having a team GPA of 3.0 or higher.

A liberal arts college with a pre-professional focus, SUNY Oneonta features outstanding and accessible faculty, students committed to academics and community service, exceptional technology, a modern field house and athletic facilities, and a beautiful campus. The college enrolls 6,000 students in its 70 undergraduate majors and 15 graduate programs. Athletes compete at the NCAA Division III Level on 21 teams, and the college is a member of the SUNYAC conference.
