Sarah Tucker Showcases Talent in Art Exhibit

2016 Dec 8

Sarah Tucker, a computer art major from Clifton Park, NY, teamed up with another student to create an art exhibit that is on display from Dec. 5-20 at the Project Space Gallery in SUNY Oneonta's Fine Arts Center.

Titled "Expressing Her/Himself," the exhibit showcases 10 of Tucker's graphite portrait drawings. The large-format works express a wide range of emotions displayed on the faces of some of the women in her life. As part of the exhibit, Tucker collaborated with fellow artist Noah Barton, whose work explores the process of printmaking and collage, on a combined piece that integrates the two artists' mediums.

A public opening reception will be held Thursday, Dec. 8, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Project Space Gallery.

The Project Space Gallery is free and open to the public from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday-Friday when the college is in session and during special events. For more information about the gallery or upcoming exhibitions, contact Gallery Director Tim Sheesley at (607) 436-2445, (607) 436-3456 or visit www.oneonta.edu/academics/art/gallery.html.
