Rebecca Fildes Inducted into Chi Alpha Sigma

Rebecca Fildes of Red Hook, NY, was inducted into the Chi Alpha Sigma, the National College Athlete Honor Society, on April 9. Fildes, who is majoring in Mathematics/Earth Science, is a member of the Lacrosse team at SUNY Oneonta.

Fildes was one of 28 scholar-athletes inducted into Chi Alpha Sigma during a luncheon held in celebration of National Student Athlete Day and NCAA Division III Week. To qualify for induction into Chi Alpha Sigma, a student must have achieved at least junior standing with a cumulative 3.4 grade point average while earning a varsity letter in an NCAA intercollegiate sport. Each student athlete must also be of good moral character and have the endorsement of both the head coach of his or her sport and the chapter president.
