Raymond Boss Presents Project at Student Research and Creative Activity Day

Raymond Boss of Macedon, NY, was one of 191 SUNY Oneonta students who presented original research and creative projects at the college's annual Student Research and Creative Activity Day on March 26.

Boss worked with Toke Knudsen of the Department of Mathematics, Computer Science and Statistics on a project titled "Benoit B. Mandelbrot and Fractal Geometry." Boss was the primary presenter for the project. Boss was also the primary presenter for a second project titled "The Effects of Diagram Use in Probability Instruction and Problem Solving."

Created to recognize and promote undergraduate scholarship and creative activity, Student Research and Creative Activity Day has become the premier on-campus event for academic student exhibition. A total of 191 students, supported by 73 faculty sponsors, participated in this year's event, which featured presentations on a wide variety of topics across academic disciplines.
