Ramon Rosado of Yonkers Inducted into Honor Society at SUNY Oneonta

Ramon Rosado of Yonkers, NY, was one of 15 students inducted into SUNY Oneonta's Beta Eta Chapter of the Chi Alpha Epsilon national honor society during a ceremony on November 14.

Rosado is majoring in Africana & Latino Studies at SUNY Oneonta.

Members of Chi Alpha Epsilon are Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) students who have held a cumulative grade-point average of 3.0 or higher for at least two consecutive semesters. Each inductee pledges "to continue to excel academically, promote academic excellence in others and to assist those who genuinely aspire to the same goals." Under the guidance of founder Dr. Elbert Sadler, the Alpha chapter of XAE was chartered in 1990 at West Chester University in Pennsylvania. Today, there are more than 150 chapters world-wide.
