Rachel Corwin Receives Merit Scholarship to SUNY Oneonta

Rachel Corwin of Bellmore, NY, has been selected to receive the Havely & Alice Moyer Scholarship Fund to attend SUNY Oneonta. The college's award of $1,000 annually will help Corwin to pursue a bachelor's degree beginning in the fall 2016 semester.

Corwin, a graduate of John F. Kennedy High School, plans to major in Child & Family Studies. Corwin transferred to SUNY Oneonta from Nassau Community College.

Since 2000, the college and its related College at Oneonta Foundation have more than tripled the number of scholarships available to SUNY Oneonta students, and more than $4 million is awarded each year. Increasing the impact scholarships have in the lives of students was a priority of Possibilities Full of Promise, the 125th Anniversary Campaign for SUNY Oneonta, which concluded June 30, 2015, raising approximately $1 million more than its goal and helping to push the college's endowment over $50 million.
