Peter Wegrzyn Presents Project at Student Research and Creative Activity Day

2017 May 17

Peter Wegrzyn, a senior from Kerhonkson, NY, presented a project at SUNY Oneonta's annual Student Research and Creative Activity Day on April 12.

Wegrzyn developed an original project titled "The Effect of Water Availability on Ejaculate Size and Oviposition in Bean Beetles (Callosobruchus maculatus)" under the guidance of Elizabeth Bastiaans of the Department of Biology.

Created to recognize and promote undergraduate scholarship and creative activity, Student Research & Creative Activity Day has become the premier on-campus event for scholarly student exhibition. A total of 139 students, supported by faculty sponsors from a variety of academic disciplines, displayed poster presentations in the college's Hunt College Union during the daylong showcase.
