Peter Booth Presents at Geological Society of America Meeting

Peter Booth of Hamden, NY, presented research at the annual meeting of the Northeastern Section of the Geological Society of America in March.

Booth presented "Flood Records, Bank Erosion Mechanisms and Meander Migration in Butternut Creek, New York" with faculty mentor Les Hasbargen. Booth is majoring in geography (Geographic Information Systems concentration) and water resources at SUNY Oneonta.

Twelve students and three faculty from the Department of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences attended the conference, which was held in Albany, NY.

SUNY Oneonta's Department of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences offers undergraduate majors in earth science, geology and meteorology.
