Peter Booth Presents Research at National Meeting

Peter Booth of Hamden, NY, co-presented a research project at the annual meeting of the Geological Society of America in Baltimore, Md., last fall.

Booth co-authored "Views of the River: Flood Records, Lidar, UAV, and Canoe Based Monitoring of Meander Migration in Upstate New York" with another SUNY Oneonta student and Associate Professor of Earth & Atmospheric Sciences Les Hasbargen. He is a junior majoring in geography with a concentration in geographic information systems.

Six SUNY Oneonta faculty members and 14 undergraduate students attended the meeting, where three SUNY Oneonta alumni who are pursuing graduate studies or teaching earth science also presented research projects.
