Noah Barton Showcases Talent in Art Exhibit

2016 Dec 8

Noah Barton, an art major from Delanson, NY, teamed up with another student to create an art exhibit that is on display from Dec. 5-20 at the Project Space Gallery in SUNY Oneonta's Fine Arts Center.

Titled "Expressing Her/Himself," the exhibit explores the process of printmaking and collage. Barton finds inspiration in everyday things and combines design elements with various prints and abstractions. As part of the exhibit, Barton collaborated with fellow artist Sarah Tucker, who captures emotions through graphite drawings, on a combined piece that integrates the two artists' mediums.

A public opening reception will be held Thursday, Dec. 8, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Project Space Gallery.

The Project Space Gallery is free and open to the public from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday-Friday when the college is in session and during special events. For more information about the gallery or upcoming exhibitions, contact Gallery Director Tim Sheesley at (607) 436-2445, (607) 436-3456 or visit www.oneonta.edu/academics/art/gallery.html.
