Nicole Johnston honored by the SUNYAC

The State University of New York Athletic Conference announced that SUNY Oneonta senior Nicole Johnston of Bedford has been selected as the Offensive Player of the Week. Johnston netted a pair of goals while making a defensive save in a 1-1 week for the Red Dragons.

Against city rival Hartwick College last Wednesday, Johnston scored Oneonta's first goal in a 2-1 win in overtime. She followed this past Saturday with the first goal once again in a 3-2 setback against Kean University.

The Red Dragons are currently 3-2 overall in the early season after its 9-0 win against Wells College on Wednesday. Johnston, who is a Captain this year, has played every minute of all five games and has registered two goals for Oneonta.
