Nicole Johnston competes on the SUNY Oneonta field hockey team

Nicole Johnston, from Bedford, NY was a member of the 2017 SUNY Oneonta field hockey team.

The Red Dragons finished the season 13-6 overall and 5-1 in the SUNYAC. The team qualified for the SUNYAC tournament and played in the semifinals.

Nicole started in all 19 games played this season for the Red Dragons. She scored 11 goals and added two asists for a total of 24 points. Two of her goals were a game winning goals and she recorded two defensive saves. She was named to the SUNYAC All-Confrence Second Team as well as playing in the NFHCA Senior All-Star game.

Located in the hills of Central New York, SUNY Oneonta is a mid-size, public, liberal arts and sciences college with a pre-professional focus. The college enrolls approximately 6,000 students in a wide variety of bachelor's degree programs and a number of graduate certificates and degrees.

SUNY Oneonta competes at the NCAA Division III level and is a member of the SUNYAC Conference. The college boasts state-of-the-art athletics venues including two field turf fields.
