Michelle Nguyen Elected to Student Association

Michelle Nguyen of Weedsport, NY, has been elected to the position of Student Association senator for the 2015-2016 academic year. Students are elected to Student Association positions by their peers in the student body.

Elections for executive board positions were held April 9-10, and senators and associate judicial officers were elected April 16-17.

The Student Association of SUNY Oneonta is a government created by the students and to serve the students. Its mission is to be a firm advocate for student rights, a body of knowledge of campus services, a torch-bearer to carry on traditions, and a helping hand, financially, to student organizations. The Student Association is classified as a $1.3 million 501c3 corporation that funds 110 clubs and organizations on campus.
