2014 Mar 28
Merrily Newcomb of Binghamton, NY, is one of 38 SUNY Oneonta students studying abroad this semester. Newcomb, a junior majoring in Political Science, is studying at Hankuk University of Foreign Studies in South Korea on a academic-year program through SUNY Oneonta.
SUNY Oneonta offers eight exchange programs in Ghana, Finland, Germany, Sweden, Japan and South Korea through the Office of International Education, plus a variety of short-term, faculty-led programs throughout the year. Oneonta students also have access to more than 500 study abroad and exchange programs through the SUNY network.
To increase access to study abroad opportunities, SUNY Oneonta established the 30th Anniversary College at Oneonta Foundation Scholarship in 2012. Scholarships and Global Connectedness are also two of four campaign priorities for Possibilities Full of Promise, the 125th Anniversary Campaign for SUNY Oneonta.
