Meghan Cassidy Competes in Dance Invitational

Meghan Cassidy of Putnam Valley, NY, represented SUNY Oneonta at the annual Collegiate Dance Invitational in Cortland, NY, on Feb 21.

Cassidy is a member of the college's Terpsichorean Dance Company, one of more than 100 student clubs and organizations on campus. Every semester, Terps puts on a show in the college's Goodrich Theater featuring a variety of dance styles, including hip-hop, tap, jazz, lyrical and contemporary.

At the competition, Terps members choreographed and performed in six group numbers, two duets and four solos. Three dances received first-place awards and another seven numbers brought home second- and third-place prizes.
