Matthew Matteo earns postseason honors in soccer

Matthew Matteo from Millerton, NY, has earned postseason honors for his outstanding performance in soccer this fall for SUNY Oneonta.

The Red Dragons completed 2014 with a 21-1-2 overall record while finishing 8-0-1 in the SUNYAC Conference. The team won the SUNYAC title and qualified for the NCAA tournament for a fourth straight year. In the tournament, they advanced all the way to the national semifinals for the second time in four years.

Matthew earned second team All-Conference honors this season. He played in 21 games this season and started in 20 of them. For the season he collected one assist.
