Marissa Tambasco Competes in Poetry Slam Tournament

Marissa Tambasco of Amsterdam, NY, competed in the 16th annual College Unions Poetry Slam Invitational (CUPSI) from April 6-9, 2016, at the University of Texas-Austin.

Hosted by the Association of College Unions International, CUPSI is the only licensed poetry slam tournament bringing college students together to showcase their talents in the competitive art of performance poetry. During the four-day tournament, poets representing 67 colleges and universities from across the United States, Canada and Scotland attended workshops and competed for top honors in collegiate performance poetry. The SUNY Oneonta team placed second in its bout against New York University, SUNY New Paltz and the University of La Verne, and finished 36th overall after two days of competition.
