Madelyn Nicolini Presents Project at Student Research and Creative Activity Day

2016 May 5

Madelyn Nicolini, a senior from Massapequa Park, NY, presented a project at SUNY Oneonta's annual Student Research and Creative Activity Day on April 20.

Nicolini developed an original project titled "The Fork Less Traveled: The Decline of Farming and Rise of Wineries on Long Island's North Fork" under the guidance of Thomas Beal of the History Department. It was one of 134 poster presentations displayed at the college's Hunt Union during the daylong showcase.

Created to recognize and promote undergraduate scholarship and creative activity, Student Research & Creative Activity Day has become the premier on-campus event for scholarly student exhibition. A total of 180 students, supported by 66 faculty sponsors, participated in this year's event, which featured presentations on a wide variety of topics across academic disciplines.
