Kimmy Cushman Presents Project at Student Research and Creative Activity Day

2016 May 5

Kimmy Cushman, a junior from Baldwinsville, NY, presented a project at SUNY Oneonta's annual Student Research and Creative Activity Day on April 20.

Cushman developed an original project titled "O-SNAP Outreach Impact on Young Students" under the guidance of Sunil Labroo of the Physics Department. It was one of 134 poster presentations displayed at the college's Hunt Union during the daylong showcase. Cushman also presented a second project titled "Methods of Spectral Classification in C++."

Created to recognize and promote undergraduate scholarship and creative activity, Student Research & Creative Activity Day has become the premier on-campus event for scholarly student exhibition. A total of 180 students, supported by 66 faculty sponsors, participated in this year's event, which featured presentations on a wide variety of topics across academic disciplines.
