Kevin Hoff honored by the SUNYAC

The State University of New York Athletic Conference announced that SUNY Oneonta senior Kevin Hoff of LaGrange has been selected as the Defensive Player of the Week.

Hoff anchored the defense this past weekend in helping to lead the Red Dragons to its fourth straight Mayor's Cup Tournament title. Oneonta defeated annual NCAA tournament participants St. Lawrence (3-0) and Rensselaer (2-1) to remain perfect on the young season at 4-0.

His play during the two-day event earned him the Defensive Most Valuable Player award.

Oneonta, which was ranked No. 5 in the latest United Soccer Coaches Division III poll, is preparing for this weekend's match at Vassar College. Saturday's contest is slated for a noon kickoff.
