Katie O'Gorman honored by SUNY Oneonta Athletics Department

The SUNY Oneonta athletics department held its 28th annual awards ceremony on Tuesday, May 2 and honored 16 student athletes as major award recipients.

Katie O'Gorman of Clifton Park, NY was one of the major award winners for the 2016-17 year.

O'Gorman was the recipient of the female Most Outstanding Single Performance Award. O'Gorman's performance came in a doubleheader versus Plattsburgh back on Apr. 2. O'Gorman went 5-for-10 in the two games with three home runs while driving in seven runs. One of her home runs was a grand slam that tied the score at 4-4 in the second game.

The Outstanding Single Performance Award goes to someone who has had a performance that is record-setting or game-changing.
