Kaitlynn Connington Presents Project at Student Research and Creative Activity Day

2016 May 5

Kaitlynn Connington, a senior from Tallman, NY, presented a project at SUNY Oneonta's annual Student Research and Creative Activity Day on April 20.

Connington developed an original project titled "Are there Differences in the Numbers and Diversity of Naked Amoebae in Japanese Knotweek and Non-Invaded Control Sites?" under the guidance of Paul Bischoff of the Secondary Science Education program. It was one of 134 poster presentations displayed at the college's Hunt Union during the daylong showcase.

Created to recognize and promote undergraduate scholarship and creative activity, Student Research & Creative Activity Day has become the premier on-campus event for scholarly student exhibition. A total of 180 students, supported by 66 faculty sponsors, participated in this year's event, which featured presentations on a wide variety of topics across academic disciplines.
