Jessica Putnam Studying Abroad this Semester

2016 Oct 21

Jessica Putnam of Ipswich, MA, is one of 39 SUNY Oneonta students studying abroad this semester. Putnam, a senior majoring in Fashion & Textiles, is studying at the Istituto Europeo di Design - Florence in Italy.

SUNY Oneonta offers study abroad and exchange programs in Finland, Ghana, Germany, Greece, Israel, Italy, Japan, the Netherlands, South Korea, Sweden and Taiwan through the Office of International Education, plus a variety of short-term, faculty-led programs throughout the year. Oneonta students also have access to more than 600 study abroad and exchange programs through the SUNY network.

Putnam, who is minoring in art, was selected to receive the Carrie Krumholtz-Liebman '92 Scholarship for art students--one of seven scholarships established by the SUNY Oneonta College Foundation to support students who might otherwise not have the financial means to study abroad. Made possible through gifts from alumni, faculty, staff and community members, these scholarships are available to qualifying students each semester.
