James Bethel competes on the SUNY Oneonta wrestling team

James Bethel, a Senior from Saugerties, NY, was a member of the 2017-18 SUNY Oneonta wrestling team.

The team finished with an overall dual meet record of 12-6, while finishing 8th at the New York State Collegiate Championships, 8th at the NCAA Mideast Regional tournament and tied for 10th at the NCAA Division III championships.

James was a member of the team this year and finished with an overall record of 34-4. James placed first at the NCAA Mideast Region Championship. He qualified for the NCAA Division III championship where he was runner-up at 285 pounds to earn All-American honors.
