Geoffrey Chesser Presents Research at American Chemical Society National Meeting

Geoffrey Chesser of Oneonta, NY, gave a poster presentation at the 253rd American Chemical Society National Meeting & Exposition from April 2-6 in San Francisco.

Chesser, a Chemistry major, presented a poster titled "Green synthesis of substituted benzoin analogs and qualitative analysis with redox indicators for organic chemistry laboratory." Chesser is a member of Associate Professor of Chemistry and Biochemistry Jacqueline Bennett’s undergraduate student research group at SUNY Oneonta.

“My trip to San Fran was wonderful,” Chesser said. “The experience included a slightly overwhelming conference with a mix of sightseeing and delicious food to calm the nerves. My most memorable time was spent watching my colleagues give superb presentations. I'll never forget the stressful weeks leading up to everyone's big moment and then watching my teammates absolutely crushing performances!”
