Geoffrey Chesser Presents Project at Student Research and Creative Activity Day

2016 May 5

Geoffrey Chesser, a senior from Oneonta, NY, presented a project at SUNY Oneonta's annual Student Research and Creative Activity Day on April 20.

Chesser developed an original project titled "Progress in Separating and Identifying Model Hydraulic Fracturing Fluid Components by Gas Chromatography & Mass Spectrometry" under the guidance of Ronald Bishop of the Chemistry and Biochemistry Department. It was one of 134 poster presentations displayed at the college's Hunt Union during the daylong showcase.

Created to recognize and promote undergraduate scholarship and creative activity, Student Research & Creative Activity Day has become the premier on-campus event for scholarly student exhibition. A total of 180 students, supported by 66 faculty sponsors, participated in this year's event, which featured presentations on a wide variety of topics across academic disciplines.
