Genna Schlicht Presents Research at American Chemical Society National Meeting

Genna Schlicht of Red Hook, NY, gave a poster presentation at the 253rd American Chemical Society National Meeting & Exposition from April 2-6 in San Francisco.

Schlicht, a Biology major, presented a poster titled "New Approaches to the Synthesis of N-Heterocyclic Carbenes." Schlicht is a member of Assistant Professor of Chemistry and Biochemistry Maurice Odago’s undergraduate student research group at SUNY Oneonta.

“What I enjoyed most was seeing the work that other students were doing in research and getting a peek into so many diverse areas of chemistry,” said Schlicht. “It was truly a privilege to be surrounded by so many intelligent people making incredible strides in science.”
