Elizabeth Freer Presents Project at Student Research and Creative Activity Day

2016 May 5

Elizabeth Freer, a junior from East Berne, NY, presented a project at SUNY Oneonta's annual Student Research and Creative Activity Day on April 20.

Freer developed an original project titled "Parental Attitudes and Concerns About Youth Risk in a Rural County in Upstate New York (Otsego County)" under the guidance of James Zians of the Psychology Department. It was one of 134 poster presentations displayed at the college's Hunt Union during the daylong showcase.

Created to recognize and promote undergraduate scholarship and creative activity, Student Research & Creative Activity Day has become the premier on-campus event for scholarly student exhibition. A total of 180 students, supported by 66 faculty sponsors, participated in this year's event, which featured presentations on a wide variety of topics across academic disciplines.
