Deborah Finocchiaro Receives Merit Scholarship to Attend SUNY Oneonta

Deborah Finocchiaro of Staten Island, NY, has been selected to receive the Oneonta Promise to attend SUNY Oneonta. The college's award of $5,000 annually will help Finocchiaro to pursue a bachelor's degree beginning in the fall 2017 semester.

Finocchiaro, a graduate of Coll Of Si High School For International Students, plans to major in Criminal Justice.

Since 2000, the college and its related College at Oneonta Foundation have more than tripled the number of scholarships available to SUNY Oneonta students, and more than $4 million is awarded each year. Increasing the impact the scholarships have in the lives of students was a priority of Possibilities Full of Promise, the 125th Anniversary Campaign for SUNY Oneonta, which concluded June 30, 2015, raising approximately $1 million more than its goal and helping to push the college's endowment over $50 million.
