David Busby Presents at Geological Society of America Meeting

David Busby of New Paltz, NY, presented research at the annual meeting of the Northeastern Section of the Geological Society of America in March.

Busby presented "Flood Records, Bank Erosion Mechanisms and Meander Migration in Butternut Creek, New York" with faculty mentor Les Hasbargen. Busby is majoring in environmental science at SUNY Oneonta.

Twelve students and three faculty from the Department of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences attended the conference, which was held in Albany, NY.

SUNY Oneonta's Department of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences offers undergraduate majors in earth science, geology and meteorology.
