Danielle Rennard Wins Award for Artwork
2015 Apr 17
Danielle Rennard of Massapequa Park, NY, was one of 16 SUNY Oneonta students selected to receive awards for artwork displayed in the college's Annual Student Juried Art Exhibition.
The exhibition, featuring more than 100 works by student artists, opened April 13 and runs through May 16 in the college's Martin-Mullen Art Gallery.
Rennard received the George E. Zimmerman Memorial Award for a film photography piece titled "Student's Natural Habitat." Rennard also won a Martin-Mullen Art Gallery Award for a film photography piece titled "The Unknown."
Featured artworks were chosen from an open jury process and works entered by the SUNY Oneonta art faculty. Painting, drawing, sculpture, digital print, digital video and an assortment of mixed media make up this year's offerings.
Recipients of the annual student art awards, which are funded by the College at Oneonta Foundation, were recognized at a reception on April 16.
Gallery hours are weekdays, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. while classes are in session, and during special events or by appointment. More information is available from Gallery Director Tim Sheesley at (607) 436-3456 and on the Martin-Mullen Art Gallery website.
