Dana Del Genio Honored for Academic Achievement

Dana Del Genio of New Hartford, NY has been recognized by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) as an All-America Scholar-Athlete for the 2015-16 academic year.

O'Gorman started all 39 games for the Red Dragons last spring. The Business Economics major hit .222 while slugging .373. She was second on the team with 30 runs batted in while scoring 27 times.

DeAngelis, a Biology major, appeared in 24 games in the circle with 20 starts. She was 10-11 with a 3.87 ERA while tossing one shutout. In 128.1 innings of work she struck out 87 batters.

As a rookie, DelGenio started all 39 games at first base. She hit .274 for the season and drove in 26 runs for the Red Dragons. The Criminal Justice major cracked three home runs, scored 25 runs and had a slugging percentage of .393.

Garrison played in 31 games last season starting in 20 of them. Majoring in Biology, she hit .246 for the season with 12 runs scored and 6 runs batted in.

The Red Dragons completed a 22-17 season last spring. The 2016 season kicks off in Florida on Saturday, Mar. 4, 2016. Opponents and game times have yet to be determined.
