Cory Santangelo competes for SUNY Oneonta men's soccer team

Cory Santangelo, a Junior from Sayvillle, NY played for the SUNY Oneonta men's soccer team this fall.

The Red Dragons finished the season with an overall record of 16-7-1 while going 6-2-1 in the SUNYAC. The team played in the SUNYAC Championship game and received an at-large berth to the NCAA tournament. In the NCAA tournament Oneonta advanced to its third straight sweet sixteen.

Cory played in 19 games and started in 17 this season for the Red Dragons. He scored four goals, two of which were game winning, and added two assists for a total of 10 points. Cory earned honors as a Third Team All-SUNYAC player.

SUNY Oneonta supports 21 varsity teams and is a member of the SUNYAC Conference while competing at the NCAA Division III level. The state-of-art athletics facilities include a field house and two field turf fields.
