Cory Santangelo competes for SUNY Oneonta men's soccer team

Cory Santangelo, a Senior from Sayville, NY played for the SUNY Oneonta men's soccer team this fall.

The Red Dragons finished the season with an overall record of 15-2-3 while going 7-1-1 in the SUNYAC. The team won the SUNYAC Championship and earned the automatic qualifying berth to the NCAA tournament. In the NCAA tournament Oneonta hosted the first two rounds and advanced to its fourth straight round of 32.

Cory played in 20 games and started in 19 this season for the Red Dragons. He scored six goals, two of which were game winning, and added six assists for a total of 17 points. Cory earned honors as a First Team All-SUNYAC and All-East Region player. He was named to the SUNYAC All-Tournament Team and was the Offensive MVP of the Mayor's Cup Tournament.

SUNY Oneonta supports 21 varsity teams and is a member of the SUNYAC Conference while competing at the NCAA Division III level. The state-of-art athletics facilities include a field house and two field turf fields.
