Christa Decker Receives Scholarship to SUNY Oneonta

Christa Decker of Amsterdam, NY, is the recipient of the Presidential Scholarship at SUNY Oneonta. The college's award of $6470 annually will help Decker to pursue a bachelor's degree beginning in the fall 2015 semester. Decker, who plans to major in Biology, is a graduate of Broadalbin-Perth High School.

Since 2000, the college and its related College at Oneonta Foundation have more than tripled the number of scholarships available to SUNY Oneonta students, and more than $4 million is awarded each year. Increasing the impact scholarships have in the lives of students was a priority of Possibilities Full of Promise, the 125th Anniversary Campaign for SUNY Oneonta, which concluded June 30, 2015, raising approximately $1 million more than its goal and helping to push the college's endowment over $50 million.
