Carly Neugebauer Studying Abroad this Semester

2017 Apr 25

Carly Neugebauer of Syracuse, NY, is one of 60 SUNY Oneonta students studying abroad this semester. Neugebauer, a junior majoring in Economics & Studio Art, is studying at American College of Greece in Greece.

SUNY Oneonta offers study abroad and exchange programs in Finland, Ghana, Germany, Greece, Israel, Italy, Japan, the Netherlands, South Korea, Sweden and Taiwan through the Office of International Education, plus a variety of short-term, faculty-led programs throughout the year. Oneonta students also have access to more than 600 study abroad and exchange programs through the SUNY network.

Neugebauer was selected to receive the Bill and Khuki Woolever Scholarship, one of seven scholarships established by the SUNY Oneonta College Foundation to support students who might otherwise not have the financial means to study abroad. Made possible through gifts from alumni, faculty, staff and community members, these scholarships are available to qualifying students each semester.

Scholarships and Global Connectedness were two of four campaign priorities for the SUNY Oneonta Foundation's Possibilities Full of Promise campaign, which raised $13.6 million for student scholarships and travel, and faculty development.
