Cara Adams earns All-SUNYAC Honors

2017 Mar 8

SUNY Oneonta senior Cara Adams of Attleboro, Ma was selected as a first team All-SUNYAC player in women's basketball after her oustanding season for the Red Dragons.

Adams is earning All-Conference accolades for the first time of her career. She led Oneonta in scoring with 318 points that included a team best 64 three-point field goals. She finished fifth in the SUNYAC in scoring, third in three-pointers made and sixth in three-point field goal percentage.

"Cara's recognition by the conference coaches is a great way to validate her commitment to her game and the drive that she demonstrated to be the best she could be," said Head Coach Daphne Thompson. "This is a well-deserved honor."

For her career, Adams scored 880 points and converted a program record 200 three-point field goals making her only the second player - man or woman - in school history to reach that mark. Her percentage from behind the arc was 35 percent, which is fourth best all-time and her 567 attempts is most all-time.
