Andrew Platt Presents at Geological Society of America Meeting

Andrew Platt of Almond, NY, presented research at the annual meeting of the Northeastern Section of the Geological Society of America in March.

Platt presented "Baseline Studies of Sedimentologic, Geomorphic, and Hydrologic Parameters of Oneonta Creek, Oneonta, NY prior to Sediment Release" with faculty mentor Keith Brunstad. Platt is majoring in geology and music industry at SUNY Oneonta.

Twelve students and three faculty from the Department of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences attended the conference, which was held in Albany, NY.

SUNY Oneonta's Department of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences offers undergraduate majors in earth science, geology and meteorology.
