Aliya Ladha Presents Paper at Literature and Composition Conference

Aliya Ladha of Levittown, NY, was selected to present a paper at SUNY Oneonta's seventh annual New Critics: Undergraduate Literature and Composition Conference on Saturday, April 9.

Ladha, who is majoring in Adolescence Education: English at SUNY Oneonta, presented a paper titled "Civilization vs. Madness: Primitive Impulsivity in Poe’s ‘The Black Cat.’ "

Students from five colleges and universities presented their scholarly work in 22 sessions at the conference, which featured a keynote address by Dr. Jinnny Huh, associate professor at the University of Vermont, titled, "Arresting Eyes: Race Detection in a Post-Racial America."
